Win 95/98/98SE/ME
1) Start - Run - command.exe then press the enter key
2) You should now be in the C:\Windows\Downloaded Programs Files directory
(If you are not in that directory:
type in: CD\ then press the enter key
type in: CD Windows then press the enter key
type in: CD Downlo~1 then press the enter key)
3) Type in: Dir conf* and press the enter key
If it returns with a list of conflict folders
(eg: conflict 1 <dir 02-27-01 10:02p conflict.1
conflict 2 <dir 02-27-01 10:02p conflict.2 ..etc...)
Then
4) Type in: Deltree conflict.* then press the enter key
If you receive a message that the directory is not empty then
a) Type in: CD Conflict.1 and press the enter key
b) Type in: Del *.* and press the enter key
c) Type in: CD.. and press the enter key
(Please note CD.. exactly like that with two . )
d) Type in: CD Conflict.2 and press the enter key
repeat b-d for every conflict folder you have incrementing the conflict
folder number by 1 until all are removed eg: conflict.1 conflict.2
conflict.3 etc.
5) Type in: exit then press the enter key
6) Reboot
(Start - Turn off computer - Restart - let it reset and start back up)
