Clear Java Cache

 

1. Clear Java Cache
Windows XP/Win2K:  C:\Documents and Settings\YourUSERName\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0
Windows Vista/Windows 7:  C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0
a) Open the cache\6.0 folder
b) Edit - Select all
c) File - Delete
 
2. Clear Java System Cache
Windows XP/Win2K:  C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\SystemCache\6.0
Windows Vista/Windows 7:  C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\SystemCache\6.0
a) Open the SystemCache\6.0 folder
b) Edit - Select all
c) File - Delete
 
3. Alternative method: {not as complete as manual method noted in 1 & 2 above}
a) Open Control Panel
b) Double click on Java
c) General Tab
d) Temporary Internet Files - Settings
e) Delete Files
 
4. Empty Recycle Bin
a) right click on recycle
b) click on empty recycle bin
c) click yes (are you sure you want to delete these items)
